takedown rifle that some thoughtless individual had drilled and tapped for a scope mount. We annealed the action and sent it out to have the holes TIG Welded. After welding, the action was annealed again to normalize the grain flow of the steel. We then had it case color hardened, and the new colors were distressed to match the previous condition of the gun. This process is labor intensive and not in-expensive, but well worth the price on a gun of this quality. |
