This little rifle came in with a poorly executed restock job and its overall condition was neglected but un-abused. I built a pattern taking measurements from existing rook rifle stocks while keeping in mind the need for the gun to fit into the original case. The heel and toe clips are original to the gun and were charcoal blacked with newly fit screws. The top tang also received a new screw and the barrel was rust blued. The stock was finished utilizing ground alkanet root and hand rubbed oil. The gun is now ready for checkering. |
